Caring for your pet

People who own and care for pets know that they are not just animals, they are part of our family.  Hospice of St. Francis understands this, and we want our patients to know that we care.

“Pledging a Lifetime of Loving Care for Your Pets”

Through a partnership with Friends for Animal Sanctuary, Hospice of St Francis is able to provide care for pets during end-of-life decisions during palliative care. We work with your friends and family, and local shelters to help you find the loving home that your pets deserve.

Rehoming services begin searching early in the care process to locate the perfect new home for your animals. We help to document your wishes for your pets and work to ensure those wishes are fulfilled. When the time comes we will be ready to transitions pets as pain free as possible, allowing them to continue to live a full and happy life.

Through our Pet Pledge Program with Friends for Animals Sanctuary your animal is guaranteed a home when a friend or family member cannot take on the responsibility of your pet. A loving home will be found so you know your pet will outlive you.

The pet rehoming services offered here at Hospice of St. Francis are just one of the many programs and services designed to make end of life experiences as easy, comfortable and worry free as possible.
