Caring for your pet

People who own and care for pets know that they are not just animals, they are part of the family.  Hospice of St. Francis understands this, and we want our patients to know we care.

“Pledging a Lifetime of Loving Care for Your Pets”

Many times, pets are overlooked when end-of-life decisions are being made in the final months or weeks of life.  By thinking about your options early, you may be able to identify a friend or family member who can provide a loving home for your pet.

There are steps you can take to ensure that your pet will receive a good home and loving care should they outlive you.  Document your wishes and make others aware of those wishes.

Through our unique Pet Pledge Program, Hospice of St. Francis and Friends for Animals Sanctuary will help our patients find a loving home for their pets, if no other options exist.  We can facilitate the transition to a new loving home, when the time comes.

The Pet Pledge Program service offered at Hospice of St. Francis is just one of the many programs and services designed to make end of life experiences as easy, comfortable and worry free as possible.
